Doubtful.Chevrolet used a trailing arm rear suspension on trucks from 63-72 (possibly as early as 60), as long as you set your pinion angle while at ride height, you shouldn't have any issues. Here's a link to a couple of tubular trailing arm setups, for the early Chevy's. http://www.hotrodsclassics.ca/new%20products.htm

Yeah my '64 Chevy came stock with a 2link and the panhard goes from the front right to left rear. The bars themselves arent exactly straight either and are somewhat triangulated. But at times it does kinda sway a bit in turns and things along that line. Never really had any problems out of it other than the side to side sway in cornering chewed the sidewalls of the tires up. I fixed that with a smaller tire. My ranger will have a 4link which is just as easy/hard as a 2link IMO. You still have to line up the pinion on both. Its a matter of preference and opinion on which to choose. If I ever figure out how to post pics and all I would show some of my 64 before the bed and cab was put back on. As well as the ranger since I just pulled the cab back off for a sfbd on it instead of rushin to get it back on the road for Spring Fling.

nothing is going to get much lift over the axle lift is all in levrage and bag location not 2 link or 4 link you could make your truck stand on the front bumper with the right setup and some regular ass bags don't know why you would want to but you could
