Grants or FBI

I have Grant sheetmetal on my truck for the combo, fillers, and bumper and it is the SH*T. I have never seen better sheetmetal. Not knocking FBI I've never used it.

I am pretty sure from pictures I have seen that FBI doesn't stamp their skins or pans. They use the same Amada HFE series press brakes that I use. And I bet money that they bump most of there radius' with the brakes over slip rolls.
Our shop does custom fabrication from armor plating that goes to Iraq, surgical stainless parts, to limo kits. This would include everything between the doors on any limo you see going down the road.
With that said I can tell you from experience that running mass produced parts some will come out off. Metal can bend different from sheet to sheet and from one type of steel to the next. Even the grain direction that the sheet has can affect a bend. If you had a two square sheets and broke one and turned the other 90 degrees they would be different.
To the people saying they had to trim parts, I think that would be better than coming up short. We make most of our car parts long just for that reason.

i bought my tail fillers from both. I think the fbi ones are still in the corner.grant all the way. you'll spend the difference in bondo and sandpaper if you use fbi.

I had fillers from Grant and a tailgate skin from FBI and the body shop that did my work said that the fillers were great and that the tailgate skin was poo.

neways, nothing at all against fbi because i havent bought from them, but everything ive ordered from grant has been pretty much perfect. they might be a couple more dollars then other places, but ive saved money in the long run with how perfect theyre products have fit. so when it comes down to any metal fabs, grant will be the place i order from without any hesitations!!
