Depends how much you lower it. I lowered a friends motor, and the pan is a cunt hair off the ground. Depends how much the crossmember is drug as well. But sectioning the pan isnt that hard. I did this one and kept stock oil capacity.

yeah i still have my full crossmember under there, there looks to be room under the pan between the crossmember it just looks like it would hit the steering linkages that run under it, i would love to lower it enough to put a stock hood on it, but i will take what i can get..lol, not really into cowl hoods....

I would have dropped my stock mounts, but, as a painter, I can paint someones fender/door in under an hour, and charge them $150.

I cant drop my engine in under an hour.....so Seths mounts were worth every penny.....I still plan to drop the factory mounts another inch and drop the tranny x-member, if I stock floor my yota. My 4" BD doesnt leave much headroom to go any lower.

You should be able to drop your motor an inch without it hitting the steering. My motor is essentially dropped 1.25" and theres about 1/8" of room between the two. For the crossmember, you can notch out the center of it where the pan is and plate it, because the pan sits about 3/4" away from the crossmember. All you really need is 1/8" of space or so so they don't rub.

Mine is traditional. Even if you stock floor it, the engine crossmember is still there and all this still applies to you.

Bodydropping on 18s versus 20s isnt going to be that much of a difference. Just don't fold the pinch or your tires will stick out past the hood.
