removing antennae

I know this is gonna sound stupid but without my manual I cant figure out how to get this damn thing off. Its on a 94 pickup and I don't want to cut the wire in order to remove the fender. Is there a special trick to getting it out of the fender hole?

Theres a jam nut on top of it. Use channel locks if you dont have the right size wrench. Take that nut off and push the antenna down through the hole.
