can anyone help with my idle prob

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------i have an 89 exCab yota it has a 4 cylinder fuel injected when im at a complete stop the RPM`s go from 1g to 2g really fast up and down. but when i push on the brakes the RPM`s go from 1000 to 1300. ive already replaced (alternator, battery, pcv) i checked the vacuum that comes off the brake booster. can anyne help

Dood irradic idles are usually vaccum related, Im saying usually....cause sometime could be a little more serious like compression or timing related, or intake manifold leak...but most likely u have a crack in a vaccum line somewhere....check them all.....

If fuel injected, there are about 4 sensers that can cause this. Also if bad thermostat, won't come off cold start, causes that!!

Vacuum leak would be the first thing I would check then I would go for the throttle position sensor.

I second that one I have had the same problem. Make sure the plug in tight on the tps to

toyotas
