thanks for all the advice. it's helped me get this far. i made it just outside Kansas City last night, using the Best Western's computer. Made it to St. Louis the first day fine. Now I'm getting iced...atleast for my driving experience. I'm about 10 minutes from the airport, so it looks like i'm gonna park the truck there, empty out as much as possible, and fly the rest of the way. No way in hell i'm making it to seattle in less than a week. took me a full day of driving to get to KC from STL. Jay T. Give me a call 813 763 6888 sometime and hit me up with directions to your shop and i'll stop by sometime

make shure your oil inthe engine is 10w30 it will get thick and will gum up.. let the car warm up for about 15 to 30 min before u drive it turn on the defrost on high it cyles the coolent threw the engine alot more. I am from northern mich and its bitter cold here. dont use brakes if u slide just shift it down to low gear and let it slow down. if there is a bank use it as a break and try to let it grab you and pull u in.

Drive like a grandma if it's your first time in the snow, and if you think it's slippery don't make sudden changes like punch the gas, slam on the brakes brakes or swerve, 90 times out of a hundred you'll lose at least some control of your vehical if not all and go spinning off into a ditch, median or other cars. So just take it easy and you'll be fine. Sand bags in the back 4 sure.
