i wanna do some kind of tailights like that s10 from scrape n customs. anybody got any info on what it takes to mold the plexi to the sheetmetal and prep for paint?

use an epoxy that is clear, and will bond to metal and to plastic to bond them to the metal. Obviously fit them before you glue them in, put a slight(like 1/32) bevel on the lense and as well as the body, bondo over the whole thing and sand em smooth, and fin ish sand with 1500....prim it them sand it out with 1500 again until the lense shows, then mask it off, paint it then clear the whole deal....then sand wetsand it with like 800 and reclear to bury the edge.

is this candied plexi glass or does it have red lenses???

red acrylic glued to the back of the clear acrylic lenses.

ive wanted to something like that for a while too. but more similar to the ones on the blue and silver 73-87 chevy fullsize done up by hills hot rods. where its smaller than stock, but in the stock area. simple rectangular shape. and completely smoothed out. still workin out ideas. i oughta get workin on a 3D model of the idea. im goin for something with a cool look on the backside, similar to the honda pilot (?) or some of the newer import cars. where it has a nice big circle area thats got alot of angles to it. something that looks cool. like i said, still workin out the ideas...
