heres my ? i have a escort with a body kit. shaved doors and tail light, and a headlight swap. my car is stock green,primer,black body kit,white fiber glass hood. me and some freinds did all the work oursleves i want to get it painted over the winter and bag in the spring but every says i should bag it then paint it. im tired of looking at a 5 color car. its getting painted at a shop but were bagging it our sleves. what to do first paint or bags?

personally id paint it. who cares if its bagged, going up and down, if it looks like poop then everyone thinks "that cars a peice of sh*t..." paint it, make it look good, if its got wheels on it, then it will look really nice. maybe do some interior work on it next. or paint it, make it look nice, and then sell or trade it for something...

bags first. get a few cans of krylon flat black and a 3m fine scuff pad. shit'll look good until u save the cash for some paint.

do what you want first....if you wanna throw it down and rail it, then bag it...if you just wanna rock a good lookin truck then paint it....

if you paint it now you are goin to have to be extra carful not to damage the paint when baggin it. but its up to you, post some pics

I would bag it first, b/c you know you will get the itch to if you don't. And like Carl said you don't want to mess up a paint job b/c you nick a fender with a wrench or something.

thats the big deal i dont want to mess up the paint whiles its getting bagged. im still leaning towards the paint first thanks for the info guys

if you plan on bagging it, do it first, paint last man.
