I have a 12'' alpine type R and a 400 watt alpine amp. Its underpowered by 100 watts and still hits 137.2 in a ported q logic box I bought from crutchfield.I listen to the db drag racing cd's in my car and it can play every note on the cd cleanly and accurately.

jl audio purely the best!!! i have 6 12w6's never had a problem, and they sound so good with not a lot of arispace!!!

W7's are NOT worth the money. period. I have yet to hear a setup that sounds GOOD at the least with that sub. Look into Fi Car Audio, Resonant Engineering, Digital Designs, Elemental Designs, Incriminator Audio, T3 Audio............all these companies are major on the competition circuit. SQ and SPL wise.

TC is by far not the best, expecially with their coke can aluminum cones that bend and misshape on their own magically.

a buddy of mine works for them, and ive herd these subs i have not herd anything that compares.

really doesnt make a difference to me who works there. I have personally seen cones collapse and wrinkle. believe thats quality all you want........but its not.

tc sounds builds sick subs..........for other people. Its kind of like walmart has all these awesome products, and makes their own....and they are complete shit.

tc sounds isnt to that extent....but not all that great.
