Well,i picked up another project today. 1975 toyota pickup,straight body,no rust,jest needs a motor. The 20R that is in it blew a rod,so my question is,how cheap can i get a 22RE for and will the bolt right up?

Check craigslist. You can usually find them from around $100-$500 depending on the condition. Sometimes you can score a recntly rebuilt on cheap. (Thats the $500 end)

frames are different but according to the crap ive read over the years all R series engines are exchangeable.
seth runs a 20R, i have the same model truck and run a 18RGEU.
all W series boxes providing they are steel case are interchangeable, i was running a supra box, have a celica box now.
umm u could do a supra conversion, aparently if u use deisal yota mounts it bolts in.
choice is yours go for it
