intake clearance issues

Again, you could also build a new low intake. They're pretty simple so it couldn't be too hard to build a dropped one ot help a little bit.

you keep talking about building a lower intake. explain how this would be done. yeah i seem a little annoyed but who isnt when you run into these things. and if it involves machining new parts etc. not everyone can get that done. trying to find a way i can do it in my own garage without spending tons of money to get this damn hood back on.

Basically make two flanges, one at the block one at the other end and connect it with tubes. Just make it lower the whole intake an inch or so. Look at it and you should be able to figure it out. If you dont get it, dont try it.

and what about the fuel injectors.

Figure it out. I dont have one to mess with or I'd malke lowered intakes too.

We are actually doing the intake flip right now.....

I'll let you know how it turns out.

Doored? on a V6? with a stock hood? and 20s? I'd like to see that....
