I have no idea what half this thread is even about...but I do have a concern. Am I the only minitrucker who is worried about OUR sport becoming mainstream? I have seen it with skateboarding..now I see the signs here.

can someone define "minitruck lifestyle" i hear alot of people saying it but noone really saying what it really involves. is it the certain clothes you wear or a certain way to act?
to me thats stupid.. if you are into building trucks and you dump all your time and money into it then thats all that matters.. do it for yourself.. who cares what everyone else is thinking about what you are wearing or how you dont fit into the "lifestyle"

Even though this thread has already taken a turn for the worst I'm going to do my best to define what I BELIEVE "The Lifestyle" is. The best example I can think of is look at hardcore surfers; they sleep, eat, and breathe surfing... They wake up early to catch the good waves, and spend every minute they can, doing what they love. That's what "lifestyle" means for me. That you LIVE FOR IT! When I wake up I think about my trucks, I think about our scene, and I do everything I can everyday here on the magazine to give the readers something cool to keep us all motivated through the long winters and crazy buildups... Do I drink: Yes, Do I wear black: Yes... does this make me a mini-trucker: NO absolutely not... my love for MINI-TRUCKS MAKES ME A MINI-TRUCKER!!!

i completely understand your post and i agree with everything you said... i was mostly referring to the people that think "true minitruckers" have to wear dickies and dress a certain way and drink alot and act a fool...this is not true.. your personality shouldnt change or who you are shouldnt change just because you are interested in buidling mini's
to go off of your example. not every single surfer acts the same way and dresses the same way and drinks or whatever... everyones personality is different... its up to the person to determine if they are dedicated to the sport...noone should judge them because they dont wear dickies and drink alot..

see the thing is.. you can see people that act and dress the same exact way as you and have nothing to do with minitruckin..
