Here is a pic of mine. As you can see my tires are all the way to the top of the fenders. They are the 245-35-20.

hey check this out, i just found out that michellin ps2 255/30/22 = 27" talland perelli 245/30/22 = 27.9

kind of odd but i found in onwww.tirerack.com

thats 3/4 of an inch differance.

check for yourself's

yes my point is the 255 is smaller than the 245

I CHECKED FOR MYSELFhttp://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.htmlA 245/30/22 IS 27.8" TALLA 255/30/22 IS 28", i'M NOT SURE WHAT MATH WAS DONE TO MAY YOU THINK A 255/30 WAS SMALLER.

BIGGJ'S TRUCK HAD ALL THE STOCK SUSPENSION ON IT, BUT NARROWED ONE INCH. THE STOCK CLUTCH SLAVE CYLINDER WAS MOVED UP UNDER THE DASH. THE ONLY REAL TURNING ISSUES THAT CAME UP WHERE ON THE DRIVERS SIDE CAUSE THE STEERING GEAR IS MOUNTED ON THE OUT SIDE OF THE FRAME. BUT THE TRUCK STILL DROVE. AND IT WAS A 245/35/20 ON J'S TRUCK @ 26.8 INCHES TALL ANNNNNNNNNDDDDDDD THE TOP OF THE HOOD WAS TUB SO IT WOULDNT RUB. SO IN MY OPINION A 22 WONT FIT WITH CUT ROCKERS. MAYBE TO THE PINCH. THATS JUST WHAT THE MATH TELLS ME. THE PICS OF D.I.B.'S MAZDA LOOKS DOPE AS HELL. IT "LOOKS" LIKE THE FRONT OF THE ROCKER IS OFF THE GROUND. THE NISSAN CAME OUT EXCELLENT, AND I'M SURE THE MAZDA WILL BE JUST AS SWEET. MY EXPIERENCE SAID IT CANT BE DONE, THE MATH SAYS IT CANT BE DONE, BUT MY OPINION IS NOTHING IS IMPOSSABLE. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK.....

the differance is in the brand the MICHELLIN PS2 255/30/22 is 27" all according to michellin.

less than 1/4" differance.

i also think BIGGJ'S about 1" past the pinch .correct me if i'm wrong jerry.

also it is not nessesary to shorten the control arm unless you don't have the correct offset/bacspacing.

congrats to travis and the guys at DIB for doing what they do.

tire size is a big factor in the equation.
i just recently realized they make a 24 tire small enuff to fit on my truck, but im not gonna spend the money to do it.
ill leave that for someone else. lol

I wasnt saying that its nessesary,I was saying what we did to J's mazda. A few comments were made that it had a 255/35, but it actually had a 245/35. And yes his truck is past the pinch. I wanna say its a 3" body drop. And was correcting that a 255/30/22 is shorter then a 245/30/22.

duck do a taco on 22's now. that i would like to see.

and why does everyone always got to nit pic little details in one photo. theres 22's? theres and body on the ground? that should be good enough for everyone right now. considering the truck is not done!
