The main thing is to make sure they lay out flat- if they are still crooked when the truck is laid out, they could rub through themselves. At lift, the upper and lower plates can be as much as 30 degrees (at least with a Firestone bag) offset, so you should be fine.
FWIW, the small Contis on the front of an S10 have never been my favorite for ride quality- they run a little smaller than most other models, so you have to run higher pressures to get to ride height. Just my opinion, though- if you like how it rides, roll with it!

so this won't hurt anything? does it hurt for the bag to rub itself
the bag doesnt actually rub itself, it compresses and expands while touching but no friction is applied to it.

it rides pretty good but yeah i have to run high pressure. Would the rs-62 (i think that's it) slam bag be better? i don't get much lift at all with the contitech

they dont make the rs62 anymore i dont think! the new ones are the better re series. and yes re6s would work. but while your at it might as well cut the frame out a lil more and put some re7s under there. re7s is what im running up front. and yes they get a whole lot more lift.

and go to www.slamspecialties.com and click on the "compare" tab and youll see all the collapse and lift differences between firestone, contitech, and slam specialties.

yeah, RE6's will ride better, still need high PSI.. what your problem is, you are using a "2500" series bag. I have RE7's in the front of mine.. (first page of this thread, first reply there is a pic).. with jasons cups, you gotta cut more out, but you're not hacking up your frame and since a slam bag inflats up, not out like every other bag, it doesnt require as much cutting, but you'll be cutting a good bit out.
if you go this route, ofr a safe reference, you have a tab on the top of your spring pocket.. like an inch or so from the very top, you'll cut to JUST under that for a 2600 series bag.

believe me lots of bags out there look like this. Is it wrong? maybe not. But it will take a lot of pressure to achieve ride height. Contitech bags are a little small IMO. If you have better geometry on your cups the bag could look better and you could get to ride height with a lot less effort. It probably takes about 120-130 for you to get up. To much pressure. My set ups only take about 75-80 psi.

Should have got shockwaves haha
na just kidding those should be fine, just make sure the bag does not touch anything sharp...the bag rubbing on itself will not hurt anything...at least not for a LONG LONG time...it should last years as long as there is nothing sharp to come in contact with
