I was wondering how hard is it to repaint a car. And what type of materials do you guys recommend and the cost of it. I have experiance in Clear coating but not on a car just little carbon fiber pieces.
go down to the local automotive paint shop, they'll get you everything you need. price really is determined by brand and color of the paint.
not to hijack the thread but kinda on the same question how much does it usually run to have a truck bodyworked and sprayed in primer?

yourself? or done by someone else?
Its not hard at all to paint a car. Makin it look good is a the hard part. If the prep work is good and the car is clean when you lay down the base its a peice of cake until clear. Just make sure you use a slow reducer in the base. You might was to find a friend to clear it for you because sanding out runs and buffing sucks.
someone else. yeah painting doesnt lookhard its the wet sanding and clear after that i wouldn't wanna do.
it all depends on how much you want to spend. Cost depends on company, color and other factors. Pick your price and find something thats fits that budget
Thanks for all the info. I'm just looking for something that decent and not cost crazy, any brand you guys would recommend? Cost maybe somewhere the line of $500 or so.
Deminsion from sherwin williams is what im gonna use on my truck. Its like a 100$ cheaper a gallon then the U7 formula.
Northstar is good for the money.
