I pay around 35-40 bucks for a 4x8 16 gauge. Just got to find the right place. Example: my dad needed 1x1x1/4 wall square stock, the place his work gets steel from said $2.45/footThe steel place I go through is only $1.17/foot.

Shop around

by us theres a place called central iron and steel thats were i got 4x8 sheet metal for $45 and probably were he got^^^^ it.so i suggest finding a smaller place that has used and new ohh and i got new.alot of your big places like alro are more expensive because they sell to big companies that dont care to pay crap loads.

where in michigan are you ? I'm 25 mins north of IN on I69 (coldwater,mi) I'd do alittle driving to save

I really dont see how you guys are doing it in less then 2 sheets on a fleet side .. The floor is 6x4 1/2 (give or take) so thats going to take a full sheet .
the sides are 6ftx17in times 2 so that leaves you with 14inx8ft and some scrap

and then you still need two 4 1/2ftx17in sheets to do the front and rear ..

I paid 342$ for 4 sheets of 4x8 16G on Febuary 10th 06, but this is in Cananda. I was enough to do my whole bed, my engine compartment, and my cab wall and a bunch of my buddys suburban floof in the back
