my lil bro was painting in the garage and some of the paint dust in the air attacked my bike. anybody have suggestions on how to get if off without destroying the finish/clear coat.
go to your local auto body supply store and get a clay bar, and there is some spray that goes w/ it but I cant remember what they call it...clay bars work great though, and they dont scratch the paint
buffing it works for me usually, might be tough on a bike though... even try some buffing compound on a rag. you could probably even try wiping it off w/ laquer thinner, but you'll probably still end up needing to buff or hand polish it after doing that too.
wipe it with thinner then buff it

Use clay; something like this. I've had that problem twice, and that is what worked for me.
Pretty nice results afterwards too.
what works on chrome rims?

Mothers metal polish works on chrome rims for over spray
Are the rims chrome or powdercoated?
