Sportruck.com has a club directory with a club called Texas Minis- according to their tag line, they've been active since 1987... anyone got a minitruck club older than that?

-Phil at FBI

I WAS IN A TRUCK CLUB CALLED "FLEETWOOD TRUCKERS SOCAL" FROM 1981 TO 1993?? I THINK THEY ARE STILL AROUND AND I WOULD LIKE TO FIND OUT IF ANY ONE HAS ANY INFO ON THEM???? LET ME KNOW

You know what REALLY sucked back in the day Mr. Laverty? Being named Lance, having a Mild Class mini-truck and showing against your happy ass!! LOL

You don't even know how many times I got up and started walkin' for the stage only to hear "Lance - from Fleetwood" instead of "Lance - From Local Finesse" get called... Yup, I've been around the scene since about 1988 personally... and have been in very few clubs over the years (Local Finesse, Relaxed Atmosphere, and now SubCulture)

And to clarify - Pat Nichol's Ballistic wasn't the first body dropped truck ever - it was the first body dropped COVER truck ever...

So what was the first b/d truck????????

HAY LANCE, Thanx for the props. you must be talking about my 88 Mazda? Speaking of Pats first body drop,Before we were baggin trucks Tim Berendes and Sean Mulhany had a shop, (forgot the name) and they took my Mazda, cut the shit out of the frame and suspension and what ever else got in their way and put an adjustable " air shock" on each corner with a compressor that plugged into the cig lighter (hi tech), drove bitchen and was fully adjustable. So were the the first to play with adjustable air suspensions?

Name of the shop was TRENDSETTER and it was your blue mazda. Later they did a b/d on a 86 longbed toyota for a guy from simply choice and later a black hardbody for Jeramy that he drove with no floor in it. this was all back in early 1990.

I know this isn't the first bodydrop ever, but it is a pretty early one. Brian Jendro did it sometime in the early 90s. It was definitely the first in Washington and the first one I ever saw in person.
