I'm going to cut it off at the pillars, I'll think about that Phil. I'm still not chopping it though. Side glass is $200 a side, without being cut down. Lol. I did save the tops off my other doors if I did want to chop it though.

that first one sucks big time. when i did the 1/4 panels on my car i used a reg old drill bit. you can always grind it to be not as pointy, this way you dont go through the whole panel. i would suggest splicing the new one in at the pilars. it looks like your rood goes under the drip rails, and unless you were planning on shaving them, you're gonna have to drill them out , which will destroy them. or you can cut the roof off where you just lay the new one on top of the old one(after you cut the old one out) this way though youll have to do a bunch of minor bodywork aroud the outside of the roof, but you wont mess up the gaps at the doors or drip moldings. plus from the insode itll look factory because your overlap will be on top of the reinforcements to the roof.

The spot welds are inside the dip rail. I think it will be easy enough to remove it and spot weld another one on.
