Alright, I need some suggestions. There is some brazing in my roof, to hold part of it together. I need to remove this. I know you can heat it up to remove it, but is there any way to do it without warping the shit out of my pillars? Cutting it it out of the question, because of where it is. I can cut some of it, but not much. Any ideas?

No ideas? Does a blow torch get hot enough to melt it out? Or will I have to bust out the OA.

You havent seen my roof. Lol. I'm going to replace the panel. Its wavy, and I know where I can get a straight one for about $50 or so.

try using a samll hand held propane torch!!! those work great for melting that, lead, etc.

I'll try the propane torch. Just don't want to fuck my pillars too, or the new roof.

also wouldnt hurt to use a screw driver when ur melting it out, could try heating it up and scraping it out.

Yea, I was going to scrape at it. I just wasnt sure if a propane torch was hot enough. I need to go buy one of those torch tops now.

Also, I've seen several different spot weld cutters. Some look like small hole saws, some are like a short flat drill bit with a point in the middle. Which would be best to use?

And is there a good way to spot weld another one back to my roof without buying a spot welder? Can i just put a piece of aluminum under the hole and tack it, then grind the tack down a bit?

I'm going to cut the roof off a truck at Pick-N-Pull, theres one with a straight roof. Then i'll bring it home to remove the roof skin the same way I'm removing mine.
