i went with a set of straps summit racing sells. i strap the back with two on the rear end and the front with 2 on the frame. i set the truck up about 3 inches off the frame/body that way nothing could hit on a bump.
its funny because most of the guys ive talked to have said theyve done more damage loading theyre ride on and off a trailer then just driving. unfortunately for us ohioians, theres nothing in ohio thats worth the driving distance!
i lay mine out right on the rockers and strap it down in all 4 corners of the frame and tow between 80 and 85 mph that how i rolled to southeast showdown this past weekend.
recomend running trailer brakes w/ a silverado??..on a wood 16 ft trailer..or are they un-needed?
I lay mine out and strap through the front wheels then over the rear link bars in the rear. I plan on getting the wheel straps pretty soon though. I would also recommend trailer brakes no matter what size truck/trailer....never know when someone will pull out in front of you and you can't stop...ouch.
