from what i heard from a guy with a dakota(dont know if it applys to you ram guys) but he told me it took him 6 months to get the doors to work right and it was a bitch to do i cant remember his name but hes from VA theres my two cents i just hear its a bitch to do on a dodge
heres mine as i was setting em up... tehy swing 90degrees..
where you get those hinges from they are wider than the autoloc hinges
i made them myself..... they are 2x3 box tubing and then 2" wide 1/2" flatbar for the arm bent 90deg
souinds like u may need to look into putting a step in the actual hinge arm itself. doing that would allow u to hav the bucket closest to the skin, but also allow the arm to be as far in as possible on the door shell itself, that away u dont hav to worry so much about things hitting ur window assembly in ur door!
Here is a picture of how far my door was able to open without notching the cab on a full size ram. I wasn't very happy with how far it opened so I took it to Chaotic Rods and Customs and they notched the cab so they door will clear at full swing.
what do you mean that had to notch the cab, do you have pics of the actual notch work?
i think if worse comes to worse i could change my pocket from 2x3 to 2x4 so the door swings out further, its funny tho now that i have the hinges there actually really easy to make.
what i want my shit to be like
