When I tightened mine it pulled the lower part of the bushing up a little more.

Thinking about it now, it probably sucks the tranny tighter into the bushing. So, loose the tranny would have more play to rock with the motor.

when i think bout it,it would put more tention on the tranny mount if u tighten it. it will pull down on the top side of the mount makin the mount stiffer.

That bolt is there to keep the tranny from flopping all around if the bushing takes a crap on you. That bolt will keep it pretty much centered. Other than that, sreves no purpose.

I used my stock crosmember dropped it down cut it and plated it raisde the tranny mount up and gusseted it looks good and its strong as hell

When you say dropped it down, does that mean you cut it out? Mine was welded in, and was a bitch to cut out.

Also, I like the cleanliness of my crossmember, and it allows plenty of room for exhaust.

Yeah I cut it out with a plasma cutter and ropped it down to the hight of the new frame rails.
