brother got pulled over..

I was coming home from a company christmas party in my orange bd toyota and got pulled over about 3 blocks from my house. I was in a suit and tie, had no alcohol and the truck was all shiny and very very clean inside and out.

The cop was showing off for his partner, said my orange with black racing stripes paint were "gang colors" (ftw? what gang? buckwheats halloween gang?) and that he needed to be careful around "bangers" because I could have a gun hidden anywhere.

They cuffed me and ran my license, I had a 4 year old parking ticket that had been paid but hadnt been from the system for some reason, so off to jail I went. I tried calling my wife to come get the truck she could have WALKED there in a minute, the cop HUNG UP MY PHONE and threw it on the seat saying "you can pick it up at the impound yard if you ever get out, banger".

I got out after paying a 400 dollar fee, and another 170 tow and "storage" fee at the impound (it was there all of 4 hours). Insult added to injury though, I got a letter about the city paying restitution after a class action suit by people who were mistakenly hauled to jail from "unpaid tickets". I waited half a year and got a check (after attorney fees) for $36.24. Pfft. I threw it away.


I know not all cops are like this, and that it only takes one to make em all look bad, but I was TWENTY SIX in a SUIT with NO TATTOOS and NO ATTITUDE 3 blocks from my house in a NICE NEIGHBORHOOD and the cop treated me like a crimilnal.

that happen to me i was driving home from a car show and a undercover cop pulled me over for no reason and he had ot let me go then the next day i was ridding around where there was alot of people and there was a fight and i didnt even no about i got pulled over and asked all kinds of questions that i knew nothing about and then i got pulled over for going to fast thats what they said but they let me go and none of them had a real reason to pull me over and my truck isnt to custom right now but me and 1 other person far as i no is the only ones with air ride with custom blazers

Got stopped for stopping at a stop sign TO LONG one time. WTF. Didn't get a ticket but still baffles my mind

hmm i guess ford was to lazy to stamp the vin anywere else on my truck lol.

My dad just told me the same thing happened to him, noone was around either.. just he stopped longer to find his checkbook or something..

Quota's are against the law. Cops write a certain number of tickets a month, so they can make themselves look good. And most of the time they can be bullshit tickets. If you think they violated your rights, take them to court. Otherwise realise that driving a car/truck that attracts attention may cause you to get questioned.

Do you have the statute that states it is against the law for cops to have a quota for tickets? Just curious, sounds more like "hearsay" than a fact...please reply?

Sorry Robbie. Let me correct that. The agencies where I live have in their policy and proceedures that ticket quota's are not allowed. But they twist it around and call it "Job Performance Reviews" to make it sound good.

if i hear one more thing about cops quotas im gonna throw up. i dont know how empty the roads are wherever you guys live but where i work i can get a whole months quota (which isnt an actual quota its just "encouraged") in a SLOW day of work. and to everyone who complained about something but got off with a warning. shut the fuck up, so you got your balls busted a lil bit, you didnt get a ticket or pay any money. and to the original post your brothers got a stopsign ticket and he has at least 2 different vins on the truck, and he cant prove where they came from, they were just gonna take his word for it, hes lucky the thing isnt still sitting in an impound yard.

Hahaha...these replies are hilarious, althoughi dont't like the cops too much cause if they are car guys they can be a pain in the ass. But my next door neighbor is a Narcotics officer and he avoids the laws like everybody else...he even wears a flannel shirt to work so he can drive 80mph on the highway like everyone else...some of the cops around here have stopped me to compliment me on my truck...so i think FTP that are haters....the cool ones i say thanks for protecting us...
