shortest v8?

Not trying to hijack the thread, but I have a 302 right now. Is it worth building or should I find a 350?

It will be more expensive to put together. Put if you already have it, thats a big chunk of the cost. Chevy parts are much cheaper than Ford parts for the most part. Mostly because everyone and their retarded step sister makes parts for the SBC.

If you want a short V8, look into some Ford W and Y blocks. A little shorter than your standard SBC from what I understand. But wider, so it may cause interference with your wheels?

i tooka look at the ad for the motor but he doesnt want to ship. i might just deal with a sbc. anyone know around how tall they are? i found one in stl(where i live) with a tranny at a great price.

I can go measure mine from pan to manifold if you want.

350, that is.

Are the 302 and 350 about the same size?

My dad says he owned a Buick with the 315 for a while in his younger days. Expect to go through a bunch of head gaskets, and head bolts. The aluminium expands and contracts so much that it will stretch out head bolts, and ruin head gaskets about once every year and a half of regular driving
