things to use as air tanks

i seen on here a guy had taken 4 tanks and cut them apart and made like a x out of the ends,no you could try and make a triangle out of 4 tanks,right??

i have rectangle air tanks on the yota (see profile) and we have tested them but haven't run them for a long time yet... we'll see

see rectangles and triangles isn't IMPOSSIBLE just use like 3/16" inch metal at the least,but you'll prolly have to site down and acutually measure the cubif foot of air you would have in a rectangle or triangle,do a referance like a speaker box a the cu.ft.

use a mini keg, or make a clear tank like that one truck from reso. strong plexiglass or lexan tube, two round metal end peices fitted with 2 o-rings each. four bars go lengt wise outside the tube to tighten the two metal ends together holding the tube tight and leak free. i thought that setup was very neat. if i try it and it dont work, im doing a mini keg or gonna just use my frame as a tank

are you going for high pressure applications on this "custom" tank

I really dont think it is the shape of the tank i think it is the structure and thickness that matters. i mean c'mon would u walk on 1/8 inch glass or 1/4 inch same goes for building, anything beef does matter, & so does design.
