so what about a full reverse four link does that work as well af full forward?

full reverse will work the same when it comes to pinion angle yes.
But it works against the rotation of the wheel when it comes to traction and braking.
good article to check out: http://www.bagginit.com/researchPaper

a properly built reverse link will work just the same as a properly built four link its all on how its built if you arent that good of a back yard fabricator you dont want to try a reverse to many variables stick with a forward and buy a fuel cell. and the forward reverse links dont work the links fight themselves to work properly

sweet vid but it looks like every four link fucks up the pinnion angle bad. wtf are you talking about. look at the first link in the vid. full forward link with equal length bars. follow the black line on top of the 'dif' as compared to the lines marked on the board. Its stays pretty close to perfect. Now look at the forverse..oh look it flips backwards! There is no reason to run that type of setup ever. Pinion angle is one thing, good luck trying to hook up while your opposite facing bars are battling each other!
Bottom Line:
i agree

uhh wrong a reverse half or full will not work the same. the way the vehicle reacts to torque applied from the rear end is totally different, just not as noticeable on a small 4cyl truck. dont look to MT mag, look to someone who has been building suspensions for years and years, how about call boyd coddingtons shop and ask how much they would charge to install a reverse 4 link on a 57 belair, because you want to save as much of the backseat as possible

but we're not building 57 chevy's with 400 HP
my buddy has a full reverse lever 4 link on his toyota and it drives great, pinion changes maybe 1 degree in 12" of travel, and the braking is fine until you get up above 10" of lift, but most braking would be fucked up at that lift anyways due to the center of gravity being so bad off
you can run a full reverse setup on a mini without any problems, most of us have less than 125 HP to the ground anyways

Nice contribution to the forums Corey.
I would have learned so much more in school if the videos had some audio like that.

Oh and Cris is right. The comment on 400hp is irrelevant, if your truck/car got up to 100mph with 100hp or 2000hp the braking will still be affected.
