what are you guys using for airline off of the oasis compressor?

i would think plastic would melt.

i was considering running about 10' of 3/8" id hydraulic line. should that hold up to the temperatures the compressor puts out?

I'm not sure if hydraulic line would work or not. I'm using the steel braided and it melted some of the plastic on the inside. Oasis sells a hi-temp steel braded hose. You want at least 3 foot of line before it goes to your water trap and you NEED to use a water trap. Make sure the water trap can handle at least 175 degres F. The compressor pumps a lot of heat and it really helps keep the moisture out.

my oasis on my impala goes into a check valve then into a moisture trap, then into 1/2" plastic line. never had a problem with it getting hot. i would have thought that it would have melted, but never did.

my belt driven on my dakota has a 14" steel braided into a moisture trap. The plastic moisture trap got too hot and broke before the steel braided.

a buddy of mine has 3' of hydro line mated up w/ pipe thread fittings. it dispurses the heat the best. but getting fittings on it are expensive.

i'm running big ass hydraulic line, i think it's 3/4 or 1" for about 2 foot into a check valve, then 2 ft of hardline into the water trap. i'm planning on moving things around so that I can runn another few ft of line into a second water trap, between the oil and water it fills fast and gets in the tank too much for my taste.
