i bodydropped my truck 3.5 inches welded it all up and started putting everything back together. my probem is that my steering nuckle hits my upper control arm when i turn i notched the upper control arm out a little bit but but its still hitting. anyone have this problem and how did you fix it????
yeah i had a problem with that when i dropped mine four inches. what i did was to take and raise the steering shaft on the fire wall and in the cab about an inch. what i had to do was to take out the whole steerin system cut the bracket in half and raise it up one inch. then shaft where it bolts to the dash, i had to grind off the bolt tabs and move it up the collum . i will try and get some pics. it is hard to explain but easy to do. i think i saw a toyota that did this and used the idea he had. sorry probally hard to understand.
so this must be something pretty normal on bigger bodydrops on mazdas
get some steering U joints off a truck or car with the same size shaft. most Mazda cars have the same size shaft and so do most toyotas. front wheel drive cars have these.
so i just add a u joint and that will fix it???
