If its like any other GM pop the steering wheel off, and the lil dust plate looking deal if it has one, and there is a little Lock/key screw you take out and the ignition will slide right out.. pop in a new one from a parts store or one from a salvage place..or whatever and your good to go.. if you dont wana go that route a good locksmith can make a key pretty quick.. or get a couple toggel switches and a push button and wire it race car style..lol
that would work on 94 down s-10s 95 they change to the ten cut double sided key the lock has to be turned on inorder to remove it.. you can drill it out but if you dont know what your doing and where to drill at youll fuck it up i am a locksmith and do this shit all day long.. i love it when somebody trys do it there self its more money for me when the shit don't work cuz they had no clue what they where doing...

if a locksmith charges you more than 65 70 bucks for a s10 during normal business hours and in there normal coverage area then they didnt really want to do it anyway and thats why they quoted you so high so call arourd to find the best price...
