Not in this guys defense at all but.....

I weld all day at work as an iron worker. Almost always stick welding. But some of his weld "almost" look like a way of welding we call a "weave pattern". The picture that Bill posted looks similar to what I mean. It is a very strong weld if done right.

But the pictures of those welds on that truck are the #1 reason why I don't drink at work. Or even work with a bad hangover. I don't know how the guy can sleep at night (pass out) knowing he is putting peoples lives at risk with his drunken welding. I know I don't let welds at work pass if they aren't perfect, and I have whole buildings resting on my welds.

Hey Heath is the shop that repaired that hack job from the guy in Grand Haven on chicago drive? I cant remember the name but i have talked to the kid that works there and part owns it several times. He told me about that hack job that dude did. Its hard to believe that someone could fuck up a truck so badly.... especially an s10 which seems to be one of the easiest to bag.

2 years ago I wanted my full size body dropped and a "friend" told me $1500. he body dropped his truck and looked like he did a good job so i thought nothing of it. he told me he would have it done in 5 months, plenty of time before ITB 04, so it could be painted and the interior can be finished. Well it was put back together the night we left and broke on the way. After taking the cab off we noticed that it was completely hacked. The frame flexed so much at the front of the cab that the air cleaner almost touched the windshield, the frame wasnt boxed in and where he cut the frame he never supported. When I confronted him he told me he did it for cheap and I rushed him. Well he told me alls he wanted was 1500 and that it would be done 4 months before it was. And it still wasnt done. So I took it to Carberry Customs in Niles, Michigan (574) 532-1341, Big John, Don Mega and Don Sr. took care of me and I couldnt be happier with the way it is now. $CO 4 SHO$
