looking to upgrade from the rubber lines to hard lines for my air and was wondering if anyone knew where i could get some. i was thinking stainless steel, and im looking to run 1/2, i dont know what size that is for hard lines. also the fittings as well? im in the chesapeake, va area, so if anyone knows of any stores around that area where i could pick it up, or even somewhere off the internet would be great. thanks.

the hard braided lines are kinda expensive. i use high pressure line, like u use on a water heater. this stuff is sweet...its bendable, cheap, high PSI, and sounds cool as hell when u run air thru it. 1/2" line is big inner diameter(big enough that i can slide 1/2" plastic line into it) and u will need special fittings. They are usually between 5-7 bucks and u need to get them from a specialty dealer. i got my line and fittings from a local shop. hit me up if u want the number. good luck man

I always used the copper line you can get at home depot or lowe's with the all nickel push fittings and never had any problems.

I run cooper also, you just have to get good bends and make them right, and make sure the end that goes into the fitting is perfectly round, or it won't seal. Also check for any spots it may rub against anything metal, cooper is a soft metal and you can rub holes in it.

You also need Plastic Legris push lock fittings for hard lines. The metal push lock fittings are for soft plastic lines.

Actually I'm thinking of changing over to all plastic DOT line......but I don't know yet......
