A lot of the time when the slave cylinder doesn't get used the rod will get dry or rusty and stick so when you pumped it it probably fully extended it and stuck. There pretty cheap and takes about 2 minutes to replace.

only thing that sucks is the ones you buy at a parts place dont last near as long as a factory piece, but they are cheap!
