my two cents,I love "cutting a vehicle up" and putting it back together,its like a big ol fuckin model car/truck.you learn alot more about a vheicle I think instead of bolting on parts

I have to say something for this one.

Some one should give this writer the largest trophy in the world of truckin.

I could not have writen this any better!!! Where in the world is this great hobby going? I know where, to the people that want to fit in this group or life style.

Let me be the next billionare by starting up an all bolt on shop. Some people in this world just need to be smacked in the face. To many people want the same thing. That is why I don't go to car shows any more, because all I see is the same thing over and over again. I am not hating on anyone for what they have. I just hate seeing the same stuff every where I go.

I agree. That picture by truckshc is just proof of what MTV and 50 cent can do to the minds of people. To me custom= pulling into a show and standing out, not pulling next to your 20 buddys with fullsizes stock with lambos and 28's and then getting pissed because you didnt win best of show. 100 k into stock ride, rims, t.vs and lambos does not earn you best of show rights.

what i hate about the baller guys is unless you have the exact same mods they do then they have ZERO respect for you! minitruckers can respect shit the complete opposite of theirs aslong as its CLEAN, that used to be all that mattered, but these ballers are only worried about how much $ they have blown out their assholes! its fine with me, its still funny to blow those guys minds sometimes! how many ballers does it take to bolt something on? ONE, cause they won't help each other out, they are all out trying to think they are the best, but minitruckers will get about 12 people to drop a truck, just cause its a good time to bullshit and scheme, but theres really nothing to discuss about bolt-on kits! these ballers will be gone before long, but minitruckin has been around for a long while and it isn't going anywhere but up! the whole mini scene is all about taking a cheap basic truck that NOBODY likes and gets you lauged at cause its a 4banger, no power ANYTHING, ugly and not real popular, then when you are done with it it will be nicer than any escalade or navi in the mind of any minitrucker!

O.k.....here's my two cents on the whole article. First, I think the author was waaaay off in saying that all he see's in the show scene are bolt on vehicles and not much for custom. That is flat out b.s.. There are so many bad ass rides out there that haven't been featured it is unbelievable. There are people out there with projects that are gonna flat stop you in your tracks. I've been around for more than a few years now in the scene, and here's what I can say:
people start out with different projects and different tastes. Hell i started showing hondas nearly 7 years ago at mt events and shows. a little before the whole fuckd up n furious stage took off. after that i sold them. pep boys just made the shit gay. then i went in another direction so to speak and started with older american made rides which eventually led me to my current show vehicle. so, we can bash those guys w escalades and crazy stereo's and video etc all we want. it's their money, let em spend it. if you host a show and an escalade rolls up w lambo doors and bagged etc, are you gonna turn him/her away and say it's not show worthy? i dunno, but that guy probobly has a cleaner ride than the guy w the pos mini-truck that doesnt lay, been wearing primer for 15 years etc. I'm not knockin anoyone or saying anything one way or another. personally, i love escalades. (never said i was a fan of lambo doors though). but hell, they are a great platform. anyone who disagrees there well....let's see your ride.....
just saying ladies and gents, there's plenty of talented people out there buildin shit in their garage and in the shops about the country. WTF is this shit that there's nothing custom out there? maybe your going to the wrong shows??? just sayin....
