obtain a title for an old skool truck

has anyone ever done this? i have a 55 first series chev. that i've had for about 11 years now. it was originally from texas, it still has half a texas plate on the front. i assume the previous owner is long since turned into dirt. people have told me to contact the dmv but they are rediculous to try and deal with. i've looked at going through broadway title but that seems a little fishy. i am in wisconsin and the dmv is a real crock to try and deal with. any suggestions are appreciated.

Yeah, no need to go to Burger King and ask for a Big Mac....just be as prepared as possible with whatever they might need.

i went to a hot rod show a few weeks ago and this guy was selling titles to anything you can think of. im not sure how the how deal works but im sure someone on here knows what im talkin about??

Here in GA, something like pre 75 you dont need a title to register it, all you need is a bill of sale.
