Is the dmv gonna give me hell for puttin a carbed engine in an origional fuel injection obd II truck?
are there ways to get around it??
anyone with experience doing this with delaware dmv??
any help is appriciated.

they shouldnt as long as you are still able to pass emissions.

It would depend on your state laws. 2 good sources would be the internet, or find someone who is a licensed inspector in your state and ask them. I can tell you in NC, if your vehicle is obdII it needs to stay obdII with an oem engine. Here, it doesn't matter if a carbed engine can pass an emissions test, an obdII car does not get tested by the same process. They go through a readiness test, which is determined by the ecu. I could go more in depth, but that would take too long, but there should be some similarities in that from state to state. Hope that helps you out some.
