Jail time for window tint????

Michigan cops always had it out for window tint hell i think all cops do but its funny when i ride around in my step dads tinted out vette the cops dont seem to have a problem with it

I call bull shit on this It poses a threat to police officers (and emergency workers) trying to see inside the car.", around here the cops only pull over us MT white boys with tint not the local black drug dealers with big wheels n shit b/c they are so afraid of getting their ass blowed off. Hell i had mine on for 4 years and then a pig pulled me over for it. Ive also herd that you can put what ever % of tint on a turck is this true, does any know?

Laws are definately different in every state. In IN the law just changed back in like July so that you have to be able to be seen through your tint. Therefore it is completely up to the descretion of the officer. I know its BS, but what can you do? The only thing that makes it legal is a doctors note. And here you have to take the tint off and still pay the over $100 fine. And if you don't take the tint off before you go for your hearing they will write you another ticket when you are leaving the courthouse.

like the article said all its pretty much as dark as you want on the back window but up to 35% on the driver and passanger window now if you you have an extended cab or 4 door car those rear windows can be as dark as you want them. it sucks but hey when its pretty much a fix it ticket what can u do

Let me say first that in my earlier post, I was saying that I hope I had made the link to the article right. The tint laws vary from state to state. In VA, I think the law in 35% film can be used on the sides directly to the left and the right of the driver. The cops here have a device that clips onto your side windows when they are partially raised to measure the light that shows through. They really have no way to measure the rear windows, so they cannot really prove that it is too dark. Jail time is pure BS. Whats next? Jailtime for a burned out light???

You know i think that the jail time is being used to scare i would love to see someone get arrested and jailed for their tint. its sad all the crime, drug dealers and other things, that the cops seriously wanna take up even more space in jails for a simple reason. and people wonder why teh jails are always full
