I know I don't own a Dawg or anything, but my s10 has 281k miles and is driven about 450 miles a week without any problems at all
never tore into the motor farther than the oil filter and valve cover gasket, even has the original timing chain
well my old mazda had 150k miles and i only had to replace the distributor i had it for a year, put about 15k miles on it.
i think the slave cylinder was going though when my dad sold it. now im lookin for another one...found 2 in the area for under $1k that run great...but i cant afford them
The Factory Alternator finally gave up on me at 54,000 miles and its a 86'
when i picked up mine it had 276,000 miles on it the guy thought the motor was messed up turned out to be the alternator was shorted out other than that the rad was cloged and rev was out new rad rebuilt alt (rev still out) and i got it up to 278,000 still runs but its getting a 347 now lol
Hell having a Mazda thats never leaked anything is a milestone tooOriginally posted by PLANTEDLEIF
My 89 Mazda went into storage 3 years ago at which time I had 243,875 miles on the engine that has never been broken into and does not burn or leak one drop of oil. The items that were replaced thru its 16 years of dedicated service include the starter, fuel pump and water pump. It has the factory alternator which still puts well over 12 volts to both batteries.
Mazda engines were not meant to be raced so if you take care of it,it will take care of you in return.
Congratulations!!
Our old work truck was an 86 b2000. When we gave it away it had 353k and change. Still ran good too.
I know it's not a mazda or a truck, but my dad drove an '86 Ford Tempo (he bought it brand new) 750,000 miles with no major engine work ever done on it, original block, head, gaskets, etc. Of course the alternator had been swapped once or twice, the a/c didn't work for the last 400,000miles and that last 50,000 miles or so were very... frustrating for him, 'bout didn't make it. I still don't know why on Earth he kept it so long. He sold for $75 to some old guy and he kept on driving it for atleast a year after that. That car was awsome.
178,000 and still truckin
My B2600I has 147K and it's DEAD due to the DUMBAZZ at Texaco Oil Change. However my B2200 has 156K and is going strong. Congrats to all who on Mazda's with that much mileage on them!
