There's no risk involved with grinding. If you want them machined, get them machined, if you want to grind, grind. It doesnt make a difference. I feel safer grinding down some useless metal that getting rid of strength in the wheels.
Like I said, do what you like. Just for reference though, enlarging the centerbore the small amount won't change the wheels strength, especially since its the attachment that is the weak part of wheels/hubs.
the heck with both ways just bolt the bastards on!!!! live on the edge you pansies

haha once I installed an amp in this girls car, she called an hour later and said it kept blowing the fuses at the battery and it was "like, rill-ay ah-NOYing"
So I told her to cram a penny in the fuse holder.
Just grind the tabs on your hub and you will be good to go!!! Just don't hit the studs and fuck up the threads. I done this to my girls truck about 2 years ago and have not a single problem with the at all!!! It takes about an 30 minutes to do it. Then bolt your wheels right on with no problem.
I HAVE GRINDED THE HUBS BEFORE,THE WHEELS FIT GOOD AND EVERYTHING STAYED BALANCED. I HAD TO DO THE SAME FOR MY 86 EL CAMINO WHEN I PUT ON MY S-10 STOCKS.
