Thanks for the feedback everyone. If you are interested in applying for the job and think you have what it takes then definately send me an email. No one is perfect and obviously there arent too many schools out there that can give you a degree in writing about custom trucks, which is why i posted in this forum. I figure that if a guy like me who loves trucks and can write and take decent photos can do it, then many of you can too. If you think you fit the bill, then by all means send me an email with a resume and some samples of your work, published or not.

Also, I'm always looking for talented freelance photographers/writers so if you live out of state and want to see your pics in the magazine then contact me as well.

thanks!

Jey-

Chad just joined the team over at Primedia not that long ago, and he has been a member of for quite awhile. In fact I believe his sn is "svrdsuv."

I agree with Mike A. that your average enthusiast does have the ability to do well at a magazine if they have the talent and the drive. Personally, hiring enthusiasts instead of plain photo journalists is what sets these magazine apart, any one can take pictures of a truck and write what is done. An enthusiast will give you more details, explore into more about the person.

yeah it does seem like there is a lot more negativity on this site in the last couple years, hopefully the OGs can come together and set better examples

Hey Finnegan, every thought about going back to MT? You three guys could make a killer rag.Anyhow, I'd love to work for MT, but I can only speculate what the wife would do to me if I told her("asked" would be more like it) we were moving to Cali so I could make very little money and spend all day around minitrucks. Oh, but a man can dream can't he?

If I were closer to being out of school, I would probably throw my resume that way in a heartbeat. I'm a Photography Minor, my sense of humor is fubar'd, and I know my trucks. I can also operate a Speak 'N Spell. Anyway, good luck on finding someone to fit the bill. The truck world needs enthusiastic and genuine people working at the magazines to keep things they the way the enthusiast like it.
