Back in the early`90's, I had an `86 Ranger I was fixing up. To make a long story short, the truck started up on it's own.....drove itself down the street about 100 yards.....Hit a fencepost and burned to the ground. All while I was in the house. A neighbor told me my truck was on fire. I ran outside and wondered where the hell it was. It's pretty funny now. When the salvage yard came to get it, the driver said, "I thought you said it was a Blazer." I said, "Well, for about 30 minutes, it was!"

The first time I ever hooked up a set of pumps I knew how the stuff hooked up but was a bit confuesed on the wireing side of things. Anyway I finaly got the damn S10 to work. Got all the switchs wired the way they were suposed to be wired. We went to the car wah to spray out the bed get the mess that pumps make cleaned up. Well the jackas sthat owned the truck had the handles shaved in and out. And when he drove he would take the keys out of the ignation Why dont ask me. Anyway were at the car wash and we go to leave and all of a sudden the cab fills with smoke we ge tout and check things over and were like WTF?? Must have been the water. So we get back in and roll about a 1/8 mile to the gas staion and when we pull up in there we see these chicks and are like hey ladies and hittin switchs when the cab starts fillin with smoke and at that time my man locks the truck all the way up and cant find his keys. SO what do we do?? crawl out the windows and then stop the truck. Damn we looked like jackass's

What was the prob?? Had the switch box power hooked up on the wrong side of the 48 volts. And that smoke. that stank ass smoke was the switch box wire melting. If you have ever smelt that you well you kow what I am talking about.

Thats the best one I got.

Well, I've had plenty of scary momentsbut my favorite most embarassing story is on my lunch break at work in front of about 75 people on the smoke deck and the Maint guys I work with (most are certifed electricans). Well I was wiring up some led lights that stayed on 24/7 in my headlights (already did the taillights) didn't notice the little resitor had broken off the end of the wire, and when I hooked those bitches up to power it blew the LED lights to shit in side the headlights then caught one of my headlights on fire! Everyone seem to really enjoy that, lol. I was banned from making up any extention cords at work for a while. lol.

ive had plenty of them 2, cuz being colorblind and tryin to run and splice wires is not a good combination. especially when u have nobody there to tell u what color the wires are

didnt cha ching burn down from an electrical fire?

I had the remote turn on wire for my compressor tapped into the one for my amp and it was too small of a gauge to trigger the relay so it melted and set my carpet on fire.

When i was in the navy, some guys where doing an oxygen service on one of our birds (P-3C orion) and something sparked in the cock pit and basically it melted the front of the plane, and ruined the rest, we ended up using it for a parts plane, what was left. pretty good fire, Quick way to blow a million bucks, what we call a class A mishap

Ran to small of guage of wire to the backup lights, on a constant circut (turned on and off by the backup light switch). At a show parked it in reverse, about 2 hours later i noticed smoke coming from the back of the car, nothing hurt, just some melted wires.

wired up an FBI taillight kit in my civic, hit the brakes, brake lights came on..headlights went out,hit the turn signals...headlight & brake light would flash, turn the headlights off,hit the turnsignals...brake,tail & turn would flash, granted there was alot of beer involved that evening so that prolly made the whole job harder than it shoulda been
