i need to know how in the hell to get my truck to stop running so rich. my gas mileage has dropped to like 8 miles to the gallon. wtf can i do to fix this?

Are you checking it with the stock odometer setting? Maybe your upsized rims are throwing your math off?

lay off the gas pedal ......j/ktake your ground off for like 4-5 minutes and hook it back up,that might help

yeah if you disconnect your battery for a couple minutes it should reset your pcm's adaptive values.

Many factors to this has the fuel filter been replaced in the last 15k miles? Air Filter? Correct Tire Pressure..what all you have looked at so far and have ruled out will help answer your question

thanks guys, i will try disconnecting the batt. No, i have not replaced the fuel filter, my air filter is kinda dirty, and i believe i have the correct tire pressure. i have checked for vacuum leaks and other things being unplugged. My truck was recently body dropped and there are some things unplugged, but i do not know where they go, can't find anything that they can plug into. I did just change my spark plugs, they were black as hell. My truck did sit for almost a year while I was working on it and I know the rings are now bad. Could that possibly be a cause also?

the piston rings?? no that couldn't be it,it could be a series of many things,.not connected wires that was once connected could be 1 reason,some of the vacumms valves and sensors could be bad.its really the small things that add up,just make a list of everything we've mentioned and go from there checking everything out

if your check engine light is on have it scanned for codes and see what comes up

Dig you plug the o2 sesor back up i think that would cause it to run real rich and get bag gass milage???
