Engine ?:Ford 2.3 in B2200?

I have an 87 B2200 5spd 4cyl..I also have an 88 t-bird turbo coupe..5spd..Curious to know if the engine/trans from the t-bird will "Bolt-in" the B2200..minus the wiring issues of corse..lmk asap thanks guys!

try it out and see,if they can put a s2000 motor in a b series,it should work.maybe a little thinking and engineering,but that would be sweet if you got it to work though

Alot of times like these you can call the local salvage yard and give 'em the info for the one car and ask them for interchangeablity. They have a computer program that will tell them all the parts that can work together.

Well..hers the dilema..lol they both run perfectly only taking em apart if im positive it'll work ya'know..

No go, Not a direct bolt in. Will bolt into a Ranger. Not a mazda..Look into the probe engine.

send me your email address, I have a video of a truck in Fla that did this swap, looks pretty wicked fast. He built new motor mounts and used the ford tranny (new mount there obviously, as well as modifying the driveshaft), stock rearend etc. Sawpped over the ECU etc. He had a webpage up but I dont have the link, maybe someone else does?

No, not even close to "bolting in"....Check my profile....I have a turbo Mazda Mx-6 motor in my Mazda. It is mostly a "bolt in" but lots of other work required to make it work.
