NW MINI TRUCK COUNCIL ?
Me and the rest of Rock Bottom are definitely down to help.
When I was involved in the NWMTC, I just got it going, and presented the info after it was voted on. I felt many aspects of the council got out of hand. But I was the bad guy in taking the blame for what the majority wanted.I've always wanted the NWMTC a place to get info on shows, have an approved judging sheet (most clubs still use the old NWMTC one), and a place to get information on different minitruck showing topics. Plain and simple. For the guys in Outkast being bitter about getting screwed during the last dying months of the council without me in it, I completely understand. But it sounds like there always has been a need to get organized in the NW for the people and clubs that do want to show, and look forward to showing. All people going to shows are not trophy hunters.

I would have to agree, organization is the key to any type of growth.. Too add, not that it matters.. but you were still incharge of the nwmtc... or well atleast you were still the contact in charge of recieving money. But never the less it was along time ago, and there is no reason to name names or blame a single person. did i imply that everyone going to shows were trophy hunters? i dont think so... if it was taken that way, its not what i meant.. i was talking about us, and noone else. As i thought it was pretty clear in my whole post, that it was about our club... only. I will wish you the best of luck with it this time around... and if you do decide on a banner, and you would like it up on our site... email it to us, we would be glad to advertise for the scene.
The things outkasttaco and even pornking are talking about we weren't even outkast then we were minis II society boy that was an experience
M2S rules, reverse rims and krylon frames rule, not that the judging matters to me but i do think that if a club puts on a show and puts all that work and money into it that they should use and judging sheet they want, having an approved sheet is going beyond just informational purposes only, the NWMTC should back any show for this sport regardless of how they chose to judge, but i am one that hates any kind of rules so it just might be me, i guess that is why i am the only member in my current club! I am still late for my own meetings and I have not paid my dues yet
Damn I spell as good as erik does....well maybe a little better....
Whatever the issues were that people might have had in the past, are exactly that, in the past. If a club paid money to the NWMTC before the first part 1998 and never got anything, I never heard about it. I have no paperwork on Minis II Society ever joining as well. The only clubs that never got anything bounced a check and never covered it, or I sent council info out, and got it sent back due to a club officer moving, changing phone numbers, and me not able to contact them, or see them at any more shows. I'm not taking the blame for stolen, or miss used funds. Anyone who knows me knows I don't live my life like that, in business, or my personal life. I'll pay back my worst enemy just so I'll never have to see him again.Let's get the NWMTC started on the right foot. We need everyone to start listing what they want to include in a new council. I'm willing to get this thing going with everyone's help and support. I'm not going to be the scape goat for the council's bad decisions this time around. We need to be realistic in our ideas, and get our sport growing again... word! There will be no money involved in joining the NWMTC this time around! My club is donating the website and bandwidth for the time being. If this thing gets going on a permanent basis, maybe we can make some stickers and shirts up to get donations to keep a website up, or to get an end of the year BBQ going again. It's up to everyone who wants to get involved. But my idea is strictly donations only. NO FORCED FEES TO BECOME A MEMBER! That sound good. Where was the WWW 10 years ago?!?!Thanks to everyone's support so far about this...
As for the judging sheet thing...I think the only we should enforce as a council is an approved judging sheet. For those who want to be judged fair, it's the right thing to do. I can't count how many times I've got my sheet back at the end of a show to see catagories on it like "use of chrome in interior", or getting zero points for exterior because I didn't have graphics. How about the people who want to "full show" their vehicle by pulling wheels, only to find out there is no catagory for undercarriage? Now granted, everyone shows differently, but it is a show. I feel that if people are presenting their vehicles to be judged, or displayed, and spectators might be paying to see that show, they need to be displayed. Again, this is just my opinion, but I'm glad to see more people going for the full show look this season. My hope is that a judging sheet that people know will motivate more people doing that. Plus, if there are the guys that just enter, park, and keep everything closed up, it won't effect their score anyways. Show off what you've got! Again, my opinion - I'm not picking a battle here
i think the info thing is cool , the contact list is cool , an approved judging sheet ? not cool , i think put up a sample of a good judging sheet ,for those who would like to see a good one , but leave the judging and classing up to the host club, i remember the old council and tried to help out with it when they tried to restart it i quit due to all the bitching , if you dont like the way you got judged , politely let the host club know and dont go to that show again, if i want to put a show on and go around and just pick out 1 2 and 3 by looking at what i like best , so be it ,,, lets keep this thing info only , and stay out of the rules part of it , or count me out , as for an end of the year BBQ that would rockk , and shirts stickers and etc.. profit and donnations is a good idea , maybe even have a fee for the bbq to cover the cost , dont get me wrong i would love to have the nwmtc going again , with an updated website , i just hate to see the whole rule thing comeback into it ,,
Todd is right past is the past and i like what billybob posted again but it seems to me that the minitruckin scene is coming back and it is doing it without a council. And I feel it is due to more clubs with websites and those websites posting info on them about local shows.
