I USE LIQUID TAFLON I DONT LIKE USING THE TAPE AND ON HIGH PRESSURE STUFF I USE RED THREAD LOCK

ya there is no need to ape fist the crap out of every fitting well unless your running some retarded pressure in which case a compression or push connect isn't the best choice anyways. for the green natural gas stuff, i always get it at home depot

I USED BOTH, BUT THE PASTE IS THE ONLY ONE THAT STOPED THE LEAKS. BUT WITH THE PASTE YOU HAVE TO BE CAREFULL NOT TO GET IT IN THE LINES, IT WILL MAKE VALVES STICK.

I know on the loc tite brands there is certain numbers on them. Which number is on the "RED LOC TITE"??? Most of ths time there is a 3 digit number on them can you tell me the number so I can pick some up today??

All we use is locktite, I've used the paste adn tape and always had to hunt down leaks, started using the red stuff and MAYBE have one leak when we get done.

loctite 242 is what slamspecialties recommends.
