I know a few people on here have installed rear disks along with IRS's so...

I have my rear disks all installed but what do you do to insure they receive the correct pressure from the master cylinder? I bought an adjustable wilwood proportioning vale. Does this just go inline to the rear disks? What do you do with the stock Combination Valve? Do you leave it or bypass it? Do you use a check valve?

Thanx for the help

I used a whole 1985 GSL-SE rx7 (with 13B) rear end. It comes with the rear disk brakes and a limited slip differential. The axles and rotors are 4 bolt so I had them redrilled to my 5lug pattern. If you went this route you could have them drilled in a 6lug pattern. The nice thing about this rear end is that it is exactly the same dimesions as the truck rearend. Shitty part is that you have to get the end of the rx7 driveshaft welded to the end of the truck drive shaft (costed me $60 CDN). You'd also have to find a way to mount it to the stock leaf springs unless you are making a custom rear suspension like my 4link, then it doesnt matter.

I dont know the dimensions but I see this guy used a Pathfinder rearend that also has limited slip. It would be 6lug...

I used a Courier rearend thats 4 inches narrower than the stock one and needed to keep the 6 lug. I used rotors and calipers off an Isuzu Trooper.
I used a wilwood inline adjustable prop valve. throw the stock prop valve away as it wont work with discs. also adjust it a little in at a time till it locks up the rear discs under hard braking and then back it off a few clicks. speedway motors sells the same prop valve a little cheaper than the wilwood one. you may also need inline check valves if your master cylinder is very low.

The rearend that I installed out of the 85 Rx7 has a ratio of 4.083. And as far as I know if someone wanted that LSD it will swap right into the Mazda B2200 rearend (3rd member housing and all!).
