I have a 92 22RE
I need to upgrade the alternator
So over the summer I bought one off of a guy on another forum he said it was for his 94 22RE.
But it looks nothing like mine.
So upon doing somemore research I noticed that one LC engineering website they now sell upgraded alternators and they list 85-92 as a separate aplication from the 93-95.
Any know what differences there are?
Thanks

the difference should be the plugs on the alt. but not exactly sure

plugs will be your biggest difference between the years and the motor. The plugs vary between the EFI and carb'd models on the earlier year. If your upgrading to a larger amp alternator be prepared to bend over and get screwed if you go the Denso way. If you upgrade go with a small block chevy ssmall case. You'll have to make new brackets but your gonna save about $200.

Well A 92 which I have is EFI and anything 93-95 would also be EFI.
So the plug is the only difference I guess?

yup, plugs should be the only difference. Unless the alt. came from a v6. You shold be able to take it to any auto parts store and they should be able to identify what year, model, et...
