I paid 2.70 a gallon for 89 and spent 65bucks to fill my tahoe...My whole family drives v8 SUVs 3 Tahoes and one expo and we spend no joke almost 60 a pice a week so 60x4= 240x4= 960 a month in gas. That is more than most peoples pay checks for the entire month.

They were just saying last week that the US gets about 75% of its oil from the middle east, so why the big jump in price when it affect a very little amount of what we get from the gulf? I say the gas companies are full of shit & the president needs to get off his ass & step in! I just dont understand how he can sit back & let oil companies rip us off!
Well look at it this way. These oil companies, just like any production company must keep a certain "Stock" of their product to keep up with consumers needs (this is the supply & Demand you hear about). Although it takes a year to get oil to gas...they still have to get replacing what we are constantly using. So any break in the production chain causes a failure and makes the demand higher. Same way if they quit making a certian baseball card....price goes up.....If a certian aftermarket part becomes discontiued....the price of the items remaining....goes up.
Not trying to be a smartass or shoot ya down, just trying to bring it into view for you.
If you work in any kind of production job where a customer constantly depending on you, then there can't be a break in production...when there is.....hell breaks loose..........
I just saw 3.09 for 87 octane at the BP station beside my house here in Kentucky. I guess the playstation 2 will become my best friend now. This is going to cause Riots I think. Everyone better start watching your tanks for people stealing gas now.
