Gas prices, WTF!!!!

i live in atlanta and prices got as high a $5 a gallon

there are lines that are like 60 cars long in each direction and people are getting in fights over who was first and gas raises 30 to 40 cents every 1/2 hour

yes very true, but that usually applies as a whole country, it isnt appropriate when the rest of the country is paying from 2.65-3.00, and gas stations here are boosting to 3.85-5.85...its illegal, several stations were called by the state and told to lower their prices to average already

a group of people can't just raise their prices for the hell of it...oil didn't go up in price that much, it's that other stations ran out of gas in an area (metro atl) and the remaining stations boosted prices....its like if an electric company raised its rates over a period of 1 hour, with no statistics to show an increase in company expense

True they can't just raise the $$$ of gas at the pump "for the hell of it" just because they're running out at that gas station. Last time this happened during 911 gas prices went from $1.50 to $5.00 in acouple of HOURS because everyone was in panic!!! What ended up happening was everyone with fuel reciept they submitted it to the company and got reimbursed because the government stepped in. This time the government is stepping in VERY SLOWLY on, and like bush mentioned in his little speech was it'll take A LONG time to recover, years. So now everyone is saying screw it, jack up the prices!!!

i just filled up and it cost me $35.00 just for a quater tank.

Gas prices increased here today from 2.49 this morning to 2.70 by 3PM. Sucks being at their mercy since I have a small 16 gal tank and only get 6 mpg. Guess I need to just top off the tank each day.

Don't feel bad everybody, I just saw a pic on the internet news of a BP gas station in Stockbridge, Ga where the picture showed the gas prices at $5.87 for cheapo and $6.03 for premium. These guys need to be bitch-slapped for trying to rip off people this way.:Tdown:
