Anyone know Toyota timing specs for a carbed motor? Like how many degrees advanced or retarded at TDC. I need to set it up close so I can test fire the motor and fine tune it and break it in. Right now I have it set at 0 degrees at TDC.

sure seth, its the 22r , right?
if so, you need to dis-connect the vaccum advance on the distributor and cap it off, then set timing to 8 degrees below tdc.... when the hose is hooked back up to the distributor re-check it and it should be at about 13 degrees below tdc.

Yes, 20r and 22r = same timing ....
Yes, 8 deg retarded with vaccum lines disconnected from distributor and capped.
